Our Story
It all started in 1986, when longtime friends Kevin and Marc opened the doors to our shop with a love for the outdoors and a dream of sharing it.
From day one, we’ve called the same downtown storefront home—though it’s grown with us over the years, expanding twice to make room for more gear, more stories, and more of the people who make this place special. Some of our crew have been with us for decades, helping outfit generations of adventurers from the casual weekend hiker to the seasoned trail junkie.
After more than 30 years of helping others gear up for their own adventures, Kevin and Marc decided it was time to hit the trail themselves. In 2019, Jenny took the reins and kept the spirit alive. Kevin (and his wife Julie) still help during the holidays, and you’ll likely catch them sharing stories and helping customers just like old times.
Today, our shop is a proud pillar of downtown—hosting community events, supporting local non-profits, and staying true to the mission that started it all: helping people get outside and make the most of it.
