Trails of the Wild Selkirks focuses on the southern terminus of the Selkirk Mountain range. Sandpoint, Idaho is the perfect base for exploring this area. Most of the hikes are easily done as a dayhike from there, although overnight or multiple day backpacking trips are the favorite option for the more remote locales.
