An expansive book for anyone interested in hiking the Inland Northwest region. This excellently written guidebook covers an area from the scablands of central Washington state to the Whitefish mountains of northwestern Montana and from the Wallowa Mountains of Oregon to Kootenay Glacier Park in British Columbia, Canada.
Most of the hikes profiled in the book, however, are centered in and around the Sandpoint & Bonners Ferry, Idaho area and are easily done as day hikes from there. This makes it one of our most recommended books for hikers visiting the Sandpoint area and hoping to visit the beautiful Selkirk and Cabinet mountains.
